The Cleveland Cavaliers have had the #1 pick in the NBA Draft in two of the past three years, and yesterday’s NBA Draft lottery solidified the fact that the now Lebron-less franchise will make it three out of four.

Despite missing the playoffs by 5 games and finishing 18 games ahead of the worst team in the NBA, The Milwaukee Bucks, in the win column, The Cleveland Cavaliers will pick first in June’s draft, which is expected to be one of the better drafts in recent years, featuring two stellar and critically-acclaimed pro prospects: Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker.

Hopefully the Cavs pick better than they did last year, when they also had the #1 pick. Their selection, Anthony Bennett, the big man from UNLV, averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds per game for the entire 2013-2014 NBA regular season, effectively making him one of the biggest bust–thus far–in the history of the league.

Their 2011 #1 pick, Kyrie Irving, is quite the anti-Bennett however. Irving won the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award at the end of the 2011-2012 season, with per-game averages of 18 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. He was also selected as an NBA All-Star starter for the first time this season.
