Latifah’s acting debut
This movie marked the debut of Queen Latifah as she still continued with her rap career. In the movie, she played a waitress who is against Flipper and Angie’s relationship. Her character was giving them bad service and being disrespectful to them. After the movie was released, Latifah went on and became successful in her own right as she was nominated for an Academy Award and hosting her own talk show in the process.
