In the Phillipines, the unthinkable, and almost unbelievable, has happened. A 3-year old girl, who was suffering from what was called “severe fever”, suddenly moved and had a pulse while in her coffin during her funeral in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, according to reports from The Philipine Star. Aurora’s police chief validated the incident upon arrival.
Heidil Teelan, the police chief, confirmed that medics had pronounced the girl dead at 9 am the previous Saturday, after doctors were unable to locate a pulse. However, during her funeral service, after someone claimed they saw her head move, a funeral attendee checked her neck for a pulse, and sure enough, found one. The girl was immediately fed water and taken home, where, according to Teelan, she remains in a comatose state.
