Academy Award winning filmmaker Alex Gibney returns with Finding Fela, an insightful and provocative look into the life of Nigerian musician/activist Fela Kuti (1938 – 1997), his music, and his social and political importance.
In the below exclusive clip, Questlove reflects on Kuti’s fearlessness. He said, “To get thrown in jail every time a single comes out, I have sixteen records and can’t imagine that I might have to go to jail for every time my album comes out.”
