The Snoopy and Belle in Fashion presentation featured various styles for the dolls. The range of styles included elegant and glamorous, country, sporty, retro punk, robotic, futuristic, classic, wintery, spring, royal, and many more. All of the dolls that were on display exuded a strong sense of personality that we almost forget that they were artificial.
The outfits came from many top designers, including Chanel. A representative at the presentation explained they sought designers they felt were best and could bring out their uniqueness for the collection. She found it interesting how every designer “put their spin on it”.
Matthew Donneoy mentioned that since the dolls had flat feet, some of them had to be cut off in order to fit the heels they were given. “For the most part, the process for each doll took about a week,” he said. He also talked about how through the collaboration with the designers, everyone ended up happy with the final results.
Belle was given many dresses, particularly in shades of pink and purple. For each theme, be it retro punk or upscale, the dolls complimented one another with their outfits. They were also positioned together really well.
