A$AP Rocky stays true to his word, returns to the rap game

A$AP Rocky has been pretty absent since releasing his debut album in January of 2013. He’s continued to be a part of records, especially that of his brethren A$AP Ferg, but he hasn’t released an album, mixtape, EP or official single in almost 2 years. Earlier this week, via A$AP Yams‘ Tumblr, it was announced that Flacko Jodye Season would begin at midnight Friday morning, but no one knew exactly what that meant. Now we know, because the video for “Multiply” is here. The song, produced by Curtis Heron, is a pretty stern “I’m back,” in which Rocky takes the opportunity to list all the Hip-Hop/pop culture trends he’s responsible for, and downplay the Hood By Air and Been Trill clothing labels. Outside of the fashion shots, Rocky does sound rather rejuvenated, which sort of speaks to the reason the A$AP Mob album was scrapped in favor of Rocky’s sophomore. His energy and rhyme skills are way up, and it’s about time for that release to hit the streets.
