How did you get cast on the show?

Moniece Slaughter: Ummm, (laughs). I got on the show because  I guess my son’s father went in for an interview and handed over my information. They called me. I auditioned I guess just like everybody else had to and here we are.

Tell us about Monday’s episode because people make it seems like you’re crazy.

M.S.: I’m not crazy. Last night’s episode, the public saw me having a conversation with Amanda for the very first time. The entire time she’s been dating my son’s father and that was the first time we’ve ever had a conversation ever in their 2 1/2 years of being together.

What made you decide to do a sex toy line?

M.S.: I got into sex toys because I thought I was a lesbian for like 7 months of my life post having a child cause I was so traumatized by the relationship with Cam’s dad but I thought for sure I could never be with another man, she tried to use toys, and I hated it, I couldn’t stand it and that’s when I discovered I wasn’t really a lesbian, and that these toys are just so gross, it’s so cold, and so stiff. So that’s what sparked my idea for my line of toys.

Which cast member you are closest to?

M.S.: I’m the closest to Morgan, I’m also getting closer to to Maskia, Nia Riley as well. I’ve known pretty much all the cast except for Soulja Boy & Nia before the show came to be. So, my relationship with Nia is very new and she’s really really sweet. So, we see where that goes. But I’m closest to Morgan & Maskia for sure.

Have you met other cast members from Love & Hip Hop NY and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta?

M.S.: I don’t believe that  I ever met anyone from Love & Hip Hop NY. I have met Nikko actually from the Atlanta cast. He was here in L.A. for the awards and then I saw him the next day when I was having breakfast with my girlfriend it weird and I really didn’t know how to react to that.

Tell as what fans don’t know about you.

M.S.: Based off on what been shown on the show and the things Fizz like to say, maybe it’s not what he says, it’s the way he says it. I think that the general public is not aware that I actually have physical and joint legal custody of my son on paper ordered by a court, they also don’t know that  Dreux not have Cameron for that long he had him since May. So I need them to know that about me. I’m very much involved in my son’s life, that’s never to be tested or questioned or used against me as a weapon cause I think that they have it really f—-d up and wrong and I blamed him for that so that’s what they don’t know about me.

Do you regret doing Reality TV?

M.S.: No, you know what in the beginning, I think I said a couple of times like, “what the f— did I signed up for” and now I’m actually happy in my decision to do it because just for once in my life and the world gets to see what I deal with when it comes to the relationship with Cam’s dad. I’m not here to bash him, I’m not here to defame his character, I’m not here to do any of that. I’m here to co-parent and for some reason, he doesn’t think that he makes that very hard for me. It’s almost impossible at times especially now that I’ve asked him to step up and do most of the work while I get my sh-t together. The world is going to see him show his ass, watching him bury himself, destroy himself, and when that day comes, I’m going to be happy because for once it will be millions of people and not just me who witness it and so maybe, just maybe the world could understand why I went crazy for like 2.5 seconds when we broke up, that kind of landed us in this mess in the first place.

What are some of your upcoming projects you have in the works?

M.S.: Obviously my company that’s still in the developmental stage with that and but also I just finished my new EP that I’m really excited about called The State Of Kali. I worked really hard on it and actually I had an amazing team of people who came together for me at the drop of a dime and at moment’s notice. In the week in a half we put together an album worthy EP, which was really hard for me because I’ve been on a musical hiatus for two years, it was really trying, but it definitely turned out to be the most honest body of work that I’ve ever done ever. So I’m both excited but at the same time I’m nervous to see how that will be received.

Tune in every Monday of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood at 8 pm on VH1 to see what Moniece has next and make sure that you follow her on social media on Twitter at @KalisWorld and on Instagram at @StateOfKali
