Of course it was fake, but there’s no room for error
On Sunday night, a flight from LAX to London was all set to take off when a passenger noticed something on their phone that freaked her out.
Pictured above, when her Samsung phone searched for nearby Wi-Fi networks, one titled “Al Quida Free Terror Network” came up, and she reported it to authorities. The ensuing investigation forced the flight to be delayed–so much so that it just took off an hour ago. Passengers on board weren’t immediately aware as to why their flight was so delayed, other than some “maintenance issues” that the plane’s crew clued them in on.
One passenger on board was particularly upset about the freak incident, and told the Daily Mail, “Thanks to the idiot who did this meaning I won’t get back to London for another day.”
His anger is understandable, a 17-hour flight delay is unimaginable. As of now, authorities are still investigating the matter, but from all indications, it’s just someone playing a sick joke on surrounding phone users.
