UNICEF Hosts Adventures In Wonderland Masquerade Ball

UNICEF hosted one of their annual Halloween Balls in New York City at Marquee Nightclub.

On Thursday, October 30, UNICEF’s Next Generation – a committee of young professionals who advocate and fundraise on behalf of UNICEF, founded by Jenna Bush Hager – hosted the UNICEF Adventures in Wonderland Masquerade Ball in New York. Held at the popular Marquee nightclub, the themed fête drew out hundreds of costumed revelers and benefitted UNICEF’s education programs for Syrian children. *Please note: UNICEF Masquerade Balls took place in three cities simultaneously, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, raising $460,000  to benefit UNICEF’s  education programs for Syrian children.

This was just one of the celebrations the organization hosted across the country on the same night. The theme for this particular party was a Adventures in Wonderland Masquerade Ball. The committee who organized this event decked out the venue with everything Alice with little tags on refreshments and snacks labeled “Drink me,” “Eat me,” or “Taste me.” All the signs indicating the different activities available for guest featured sketches from the original book. There was a photo booth where guests could pick up little props such as bunny ears, Mad Hatter hats, and teacups to accent their photos. There was also team of face painters from Face Art from by Pnina to create beautiful editorial level face art for the guests to match their costumes. Cocktails were provided by Grey Goose.

About $130,000 was raised by the New York City party to provide educational materials for 560,000 Syrian kids in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. The best part about the event was that Marquee donated the space for the event so every dollar donated will go towards benefiting the children in Syria. Sebastian Stan, Margarita Levieva,  Julie Henderson, Kristen Taekman, Ryan Serhant and Jillian Tapper who is our Miss New York were in attendance.
