Kendrick returns the favor, raps over Taylor’s #1 hit
Kendrick Lamar is prepping his sophomore album for what’s expected to be a December 2014 release, and right now, outside of “i,” there isn’t much indication of it. Thankfully, we have this press run that Top Dawg is making him go on, which included explaining to both Hot 97 and Power 105.1 his purpose in the rap game and the importance of a song like “i,” and this awesome clip of him rhyming over the instrumental for Taylor Swift‘s hit single, “Shake It Off.” With the assistance of the radio show hosts, who throw out words that Kendrick uses to guide his freestyle, K. Dot raps about white girls and K104, amongst other things, while rapping over a very unlikely beat.

Not to mention, Kendrick is a fan of the song himself, considering he got caught singing the record during an interview with The Fader last week.
