When you have a monstrous MVP candidate like season the way Giancarlo Stanton had, it was only right that cell phones will be ringing to negotiate some more zeros at the end of his paycheck. Luckily, he gets to stay where he had an epic season showing fans down in Miami that he can be a franchise player for a very long time. The Miami Marlins and the young out fielding sensation agreed to a whopping 13 year, 325 million dollar contract extension. The deal includes an early opt-out clause and no trade provision for the 25 year old superstar. This mega contract surpasses Alex Rodriguez‘s $275 million dollar deal that was done in 2008 with the New York Yankees.
