Huge Saints/Panthers Brawl Breaks Out After Cam Newton’s TD Celebration

Fight night afternoon

Frankly, no one in the NFC South should be celebrating anything. The first place teams, the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints, are tied with a losing record of 5-7, and the Carolina Panthers, who in any other division would already be looking forward to the off-season, are only 1.5 games behind them at 3-8-1. So, today’s matchup of horrible teams division rivals is in fact, a pretty big game. To  Cam Newton‘s credit, the Panthers are currently handing it to the Saints–the score is 24-3 in the third quarter–but the Saints weren’t having it with his Superman celebration. As seen above, Newton obnoxiously celebrates in the face of several Saints defensive players, and a brawl ensued. Panthers tight end Brandon Williams was ejected for his role in the melee.
