According to The Charlotte Observer, Carolina Panthers quarterback and Auburn University alum Cam Newton has been injured in a car crash that took place less than 45 minutes ago, and Cam was injured in the crash.
The Observer reports that at just after 12:30 pm, Newton was travelling along Interstate 277 when his car crashed and overturned, and it has been confirmed that a second car was involved in the wreck.
Emergency responders arrived and loaded Newton onto a stretcher and into an ambulance, the extent of his injuries is unknown at this point.
