Once again, Forbes released their annual list of the highest earning musicians of the year. Filled with rock legends and pop sensations, urban based acts Dr. Dre and Beyoncé topped the list. Earlier this year, former Interscope Records chairman Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre sold their Dre Beats brand to Apple for a reported $3 Billion. As the good doctor pocketed a large share of the monumental deal, along with with revenue from his back catalog, he raked in a whopping $620 Million in 2014, trumping everyone else on the list. Beyoncé came in at second with $115 Million. Mrs. Carter had a major year as her self titled fifth studio album topped the charts while she also had one of the biggest earning tours of the year with her ‘On The Run’ trek with husband JAY Z.
