Last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers fell under the .500 mark with their 107-100 defeat towards the Phoenix Suns. After being sideline for two weeks due to a left knee injury and back strain, Bron Bron exploded for a huge game, going for 33 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite impressive highlights such as James dunking over Alex Len, the King had experienced a slight moment of “power tripping” on his coach David Blatt. Arguing on a heated offensive foul called being charged towards James, coach Blatt decided to get into the referees’s face to express his irritation. During the exchange, LeBron decided to step in and push his coach away from the referee and the possession was in play.

Even though the attempt was to avoid his coach to receive a technical foul, LeBron’s approach was a bit sloppy. Instead of helping out his rookie coach face evening more scrutiny, it looks like James’s headstrong leadership action would only add onto the recent criticism of Blatt not having control of his team. With the Cavs dropping to 19-20, Blatt needs to find his voice in the locker room full of superstars before they end up slipping to a mediocre seeding come playoff time. As far as LeBron, the king has some explaining to do. After all, this isn’t football and his favorite college team have made plenty of tackles and shoving on the Oregon Ducks to win a national championship. Right intentions, wrong approach LeBron.
