Paul Pierce Impersonates Russell Westbrook In Hilarious Post-Game Interview

Pierce jokingly “Westbrooks” a group of post-game reporters

After the Thunder’s victory at home against the Golden State Warriors Friday night, Russell Westbrook, who most expected to be in a jubilant mood after his career night, was stoic and indifferent towards a group of reporters huddled around his locker. At one point, he told a reporter from The Oklahoman “I don’t like you.” It was the interview heard around the internet, and it has since been Vine’d, meme’d and Instagram’d to death.

Westbrook’s moody chat seems to have struck a comedic chord with Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce. Pierce is known for being a fierce competitor on the court, but is significantly more light-hearted off of it, as evidenced by the above video. He’s asked several questions by reporters, to which Pierce replies “we executed,” and of course, he turns to one reporter and says, “I don’t like you.” After a minute or so, Pierce drops the act and lets reporters know it’s okay to conduct the real interview, but it was still pretty funny.

It’s pretty understandable why Pierce was in such a light mood. With Saturday night’s 99-90 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, the Wizards improved to 28-13, good for second in the Eastern Conference, and find themselves within striking distance of the streaking, top-seeded Atlanta Hawks.

They may be jokesters, but Pierce and Westbrook will collide where it matters–on the court–when the surging Thunder pay Washington D.C. a visit to take on Pierce, John Wall and the Wizards on Wednesday.
