Jansport J has been steady putting in work. He released an album through Delicious Vinyl, worked with Melat on a project, and produced for multiple artists like Snoop Dogg, Blu, and The Black Opera. As artists tend to do, the producer has put out a collection of music to keep him on fans’ minds until his seventh instrumental album drops this year. The remixes include a lot of classics from the 90’s and 2000 era. These are records that Jansport grew up with so you know he had to do right by the originals.
There are a lot of great reinterpretations here. Don’t try and decide if they’re better than the original but rather listen to them as another version of something you love. Which ones stick out in your mind?
