Only thing left to happen is the leak of the video
Media speculation surrounding Dez Bryant‘s lack of a new deal with the Dallas Cowboys is buzzing with the fact that there is a scathing video of the Cowboys wideout doing something “worse than Ray Rice” in a Walmart parking lot. Today, NFL Media released a report of what’s on that video clip, and if it’s accurate, pending further investigation, Bryant could be in a lot of trouble. Especially if the video clip somehow surfaces on the internet, an action that’s been threatened by hackers and bloggers since September.
According to the report–of which we have details thanks to ProFootballTalk–which was produced by the police department of the city of Lancaster, Texas, the following is the series of events that occurred in the parking lot.
The report mentions that an unknown person called the police to explain that a black female was “being dragged from one vehicle to another vehicle” by a black male. The vehicle the woman was dragged from was a Mercedes registered to Dez Bryant.
So, for starters, somebody called the police to say that a Black woman was being dragged from a Mercedes–that appears to belong to Bryant–to another vehicle.
When a police officer responded, a Wal-Mart security guard explained that he arrived at the scene with the door to the Mercedes still open and a child’s toy on the ground, but that no one was present. Then, two men pulled up in an Escalade registered to Dez Bryant. The two men, Carl King and Christopher Mitchell, said they received a call from the alleged victim, asking them to pick up “her” Mercedes.
Some time after that, Carl and Christopher pull up in an Escalade that also appears to belong to Bryant, claiming that they received a call from said woman, who asked them to pick up “her” car–the Mercedes Benz she was allegedly dragged from.
Then, a Bentley arrived in the parking lot, with the alleged victim and Dez Bryant inside. The alleged victim claimed that she had an argument with a man named Alex Penson, that she was not assaulted or injured in any way, and that it was “just an argument” with Penson. The alleged victim claimed she was dropped off at a friend’s house, and that she contacted Bryant to pick her up.
The rest of it is, confusing, to say the least.

Regardless of the fact that authorities determined on the scene that there was no foul play, the incident will still be investigated further. As far as Bryant’s concerned, the media is making a really big deal out of nothing.
