…..GAME BLO– USESSSS!!!!
Before some of your favorite music artists blew up to stardom, a few of them were actual some very talented athletes. For instance, there’s ATL rapper 2 Chainz. Before he blew up as Tity Boi of the ATL based group entitled Playaz Circle, 2 Chainz was a standout basketball player at North Clayton High School. Combining a witty personality, incredible athletic built and determination, young Tauheed Epps earned a athletic scholarship to play for Alabama State University. Another individual you can add onto the list is one of the influential musicians of all time. Recently, there has been some vintage archives of Prince being talked about as a talented hooper on the Bryant Junior High School basketball team.

The Minneapolis Tribune did some researching and found some old newspaper clips of Prince’s junior high school coach praising the 5’2 athlete. In addition, they was able to locate Prince sporting his junior high school basketball uniform along with his fellow teammates. But the real geniuses who introduced this discovery to America goes to none other than comedian Dave Chappelle. On the Comedy Central show known as The Chappelle Show, Chappelle and comedian Charlie Murphy performed a hilarious skit telling the story about the time Murphy and his friends hooped against Prince and his crew. With the latest paper trail that were released to the public, I think it is safe to say that Dave wasn’t lying at all. Will the world get the chance to see the pop icon suit up in a celebrity basketball game? Only time will tell. Until then, control your thirst and purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetoka.
