In October 2013, Charity Anne Johnson was enrolled into New Life Christian School in Longview Texas, as a sophomore. Johnson obviously thought she could start a new life by swindling everyone into believing that she was the actual age of a sophomore, instead of her real age of 31.
Claiming she was abused by her biological mother and father, Charitys’ new guardian, Tamica Lincoln, felt obligated to take in this 15 year old homeless girl and took care of her as if she was her own.
Tamica says “I sympathized with her, and invited her into my home. I took her in as a child, did her hair, got her clothes and shoes…”
Charity was arrested Sunday night after giving the police a fake name and birthdate–the same alias she used to enroll into school. Shortly after, Tamica and Paul Ward suspected she was using a fake ID and they called the police who immediately came to the school. As you can imagine, teachers, students, and especially her best friend were devastated and left in tears.
Charity was arrested for failure to identify/giving false, fictitious information; And she remains in the Gregg County Jail on $500 bond.
