Laurence Fishburne’s Mother To Be Evicted, Says She Can’t Reach Her Son

Is Laurence Fishburne leaving his mother out to dry?

In a disturbing New York Daily News profile written on his mother, Hattie Fishburne, Laurence Fishburne was made out to be an awful son, that’s had such strained contact with his mother in recent years she could be evicted from her apartment because she can’t afford her $1500 rent. If her side of the story is accurate, well, that’s exactly what Mr. Fishburne would be.

During the interview, Hattie was very specific about the details of her troubles.

For 20 years, I funded my son’s career. He promised me he would take care of me. He promised me a house, a golden retriever, a calico cat. To this day, I have not got a Christmas present or a ‘Thank you, Mama’ present. He hasn’t given me a penny.

What makes this worse is, Laurence Fishburne isn’t, by an measure, a struggling actor. In fact, it’s a new show that he’s executive producing, black-ish, that ranked extremely high in weekly ratings among new shows in the 4th quarter of 2014.

Hold your mom down, Laurence, like she did for you twenty years ago.

  1. I hope they can become closer before their life ends.
Forgiveness is the cure 4 All.

  2. What a one sided article.
How do we know she wasn’t a terrible mother? Your backup is one quote from her, and that could easily be bullshit.
Smear articles like this are what makes the Internet more of a useless cesspit
