#ChartChat: If You’re Reading This, Physical Copies Are On The Way

A complete breakdown of this week’s Hip-Hop sales

With no new rap albums being released, Kendrick Lamar regained the top spot on this week’s #ChartChat. Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly moved 27,290 copies, and 37,290 including streams. Next in line is Wale, who sold 23,730 copies of The Album About Nothing. This is a 74 percent drop in sales for the MMG rapper, who debuted at #1 on last week’s chart.

Also appearing on the chart this week are the usual suspects, J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint, and Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Including streams, IYRTITL sold an impressive 36,755 units. Expect his raw album sales to rise in the following weeks, as physical copies of IYRTITL will finally be available in stores on 4/21.
