Johnny Depp is probably the first name that comes to people’s minds when they think of method actors, and he’s definitely heading back in that direction with his role as notorious real-life Boston crime boss/FBI informant Whitey Bulger. He’s completely unrecognizable as Bulger and the scariest he’s ever been while grilling an acquaintance over his family’s secret steak recipe.
Black Mass also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Joel Edgerton, Sienna Miller, and Dakota Johnson. Warner Bros. will be releasing this September 18, but until then, checkout the teaser here.
