Kendrick Lamar shows off the depth of his latest album on Ellen
Since the release of his sophomore album, To Pimp A Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar has pretty much gone quiet, outside of the release of his “King Kunta” music video, and a feature and cameo on Taylor Swift‘s latest #1 single, “Bad Blood.” According to Instagram, he’s shot a couple music videos–one for the Pharrell-featured/produced “Alright,” and the other allegedly for “These Walls”–but they’ve yet to be liberated. Well, how about a performance on daytime television?
Ellen, who admits to dancing to Kendrick’s Grammy Award-winning “i” at the conclusion of this performance, invited Kendrick onto the show to perform what appears to be one of his next singles, “These Walls,” a smooth ballad about Kendrick’s complicated relationship with a woman.
