Even considering the kids’ language, bad move, cop
A rough cell-phone video of Charleston neighborhood kids jeering with a police officer has gone viral today, and it isn’t because of the insults they threw at him. It’s due to what he said back.
The video clip, which you can watch above, features young children running up to a cop car and throwing several verbal and explicit insults at the officer. It’s difficult to determine what the circumstances surrounding the incident shown on the video were, but it doesn’t appear that there was any wrongdoing involved. In fact, the cop appears to be filming the kids with his own cell-phone.
Before driving away, the cop, with the window rolled down, called out “Don’t go to church and get hurt” to the kids, then sped away. The police department will reportedly open an investigation into the matter.
