Iggy Azalea Monetarily Benefits from Jidenna’s “Classic Man”

Jidenna’s “sound alike” 2015 anthem is helping pad Iggy’s wallet

Last year, Iggy Azalea became pop’s signature overnight star, enjoying a rare extended stay at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to her smash hit “Fancy,” which became the subject of controversy throughout awards season earlier this year.

This year, a new anthem incorporating those infectious Bay area-inspired drums and synthesizers is looking to claim the summer’s crown, and that’s Jidenna‘s “Classic Man.” Wondaland Records’ inaugural release has shot up the charts, and comfortably sits in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40, and the Kendrick Lamar-featured remix will more than likely improve upon that positioning. Aside from the songs’ similar sonic backgrounds, there’s another interesting tidbit that connects them.
