It appears that Kanye West has been quietly giving away records meant for his forthcoming album, SWISH.
Earlier this year, on Travi$ Scott‘s debut album Rodeo, Kanye was featured on a song called “Piss On Your Grave,” which has long been rumored to be a song West, Mike Dean and Paul McCartney were working on for SWISH. Now, thanks to an in-depth interview with G.O.O.D. Music President Che Pope with the Red Bull Music Academy, we know that one of the songs on The Weeknd‘s recently released sophomore album, Beauty Behind The Madness, was also meant for Kanye’s 7th opus.
With “Only One” and “FourFiveSeconds,” both featuring Paul McCartney and the latter featuring Rihanna, and “All Day” already out in the stratosphere, it was already difficult to predict where Ye wanted to go with his new album sonically, and when you factor in his surrendering of “Piss On Your Grave” and “Tell Your Friends,” it becomes even clearer that whatever Kanye has planned, if this is any indicator, will touch just about every meter on his sonic spectrum.
