Rex Ryan knows how to get a Headline.
Rex Ryan will have some party favors for the New York Jets as he names Ik Enemkpai team captain for the game. Enemkpai was the one who broke quarterback Geno Smith’s jaw during training camp.
The Jets soon cut ties with the embattled linebacker, soon which Ryan and the Buffalo Bills scooped up.
Now to be fair, Ryan was the one who drafted Enemkpai out of college, and before claimed that he could help the team and knew the system. But to make him captain is simply just to get the media going.
“I’ll get ripped,” Ryan told reporters Monday. “Whatever. I do this all the time.”
This will be the first time Ryan will face his former team since he was handed his walking papers in the offseason. The Bills take on the Jets on Thursday Night Football.
