Going into Saturday’s showdown in Australia against Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey left a path of destruction, dismantling opponents in the UFC’s Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions. Past opponents include Miesha Tate and and Brazilian star Bethe Correia. Aside from her previously unblemished record and a penchant for submitting opponents in under one minute, Rousey’s stardom was boosted by her no-nonsense attitude and brash persona.
After her loss to Holm, the fallout on social media was swift. Memes and jokes were plentiful as any and all took a jab at the former champ, most notably her famed rivals. Bethe Correia, whom lost to Rousey in 34 seconds back in August was the most vocal.
I will not retire invicta, but also will not @rondarousey . start from scratch to be champion #teamcorreia #timecorreia A photo posted by Bethe (@bethecorreia) on
One of Ronda’s biggest rivals, Miesha Tate, kept things brief but shared her joy with the world. She also took the opportunity to put her hat in for a title shot against Holm.

I don’t understand why you would decide to be a #DNB when you’re getting kicked in the head ??? pic.twitter.com/QGbCvwj70f — Cris Cyborg (@criscyborg) November 15, 2015
