Last night (Sunday, November 16) CEO and Chairman of BET Networks Debra Lee was honored with the Media Visionary Award during the annual Rhapsody Gala.
Lee was presented with the prestigious award by singer and star of BET’s Chasing Destiny, Kelly Rowland.
With over 30 years experience in the business, Lee was also recently named one of the “100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment” by the Hollywood Reporter. Lee joined BET Networks back in 1986 and 10 years later found herself becoming President and Chief Operating Officer of BET Holdings, Inc.

The event also honored National Manager of Toyota’s pioneering social impact division, Tracy Underwood, while actresses Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Trichina Arnold were among the attendees.
