The G.O.O.D. Friday era was one of the best moments of this generation of Hip-Hop. Kanye united artists, from a relatively unproven J. Cole to a resurgent Lloyd Banks, and put them on instrumentals by Ryan Leslie or Hit-Boy. Keri Hilson on a gangster rap record? Check. A rapped Christmas carol dedicated to Harlem? Check. With the interesting changes made to the label over the years (the loss of Kid Cudi and Hit-Boy, the addition of Travi$ Scott and Kacy Hill), it’ll be interesting to see what they’ll be able to cook up this time around.
Don’t forget. G.O.O.D. Fridays gave us Nicki Minaj. This Nicki Minaj.
