The situation began when Fisher flew to Los Angeles on an off day of Knicks training camp to visit with Barnes’ estranged wife, Gloria Govan, while Barnes’ children were present at the house. Barnes allegedly drove over 90 miles to the house and confronted Fisher, which lead to the altercation between the two. Barnes is expected to serve the suspension without an appeal, and he will lose about $64,000 for the two missed games.
Barnes and Fisher were teammates with the Los Angles Lakers back 2009-11, winning an NBA title in the summer of 2010.
