Kanye West Puts Nike in Check on “FACTS”

Numbers don’t lie. Continuing to earn his stripes in the fashion world on the heels of being named GQ’s Most Stylish Man of 2015, Kanye West puts his former creative partner Nike in check on “FACTS,” an antagonistic release that criticizes recent endeavors of the storied footwear manufacturer, with which he angrily parted ways two years ago following several disagreements pertaining to his famed Air Yeezys and Red Octobers, before landing back on his feet of course with its longtime rival adidas.

“Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, they line up for days / Nike out here bad, they can’t give shit away,” he boasts in reference to consecutive sellouts of his coveted Yeezy Boost sneakers – most recently the Tan 350 edition, gone within an hour of its liberation this past Saturday – claiming to have leaped over the iconic Jumpman and accusing Jordan’s parent company of suspicious business practices.

As brash as he comes off however, Kanye understands it’s a team effort in the grand scheme of things, and gives praise to his comrades James Harden and Swaggy P of the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers; both athletes followed in his footsteps by agreeing to leave Nike for long-term deals with adidas this year. The truth hurts.
