While out promoting his new upcoming feature film Ride Along 2, Kevin Hart stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to discuss the movie and dish on his upcoming fourth stand up film, What Now.
“I had to do something different because my hometown showed up and we sold out the Lincoln [Financial Field] stadium and had more than 53,000 people there. So I knew I definitely had to show the love that I got at home and across the country.”
The news didn’t stop there. Hart announced a partnership with Nike to release the ‘Hustle Hart’ cross-training shoe, making him the first non-athletic celebrity to get tapped to collaborate on an athletic shoe.
“Most of my fans know that I’ve teamed up with Nike on several 5K runs and cross training events”, Kevin said.”So they came to me and said they like how I’m able to bridge the gap between athletes and people who didn’t realize they have an athlete in them. That’s when they announced that I am getting my own shoe.”
The ‘Hustle Harts,’ due in April, feature quotes on the exterior of the shoe and are available in two colors that Hart explained are close to his…well, heart: “The color templates I chose are dear to me because they represent each personality of my kids.”
