Suburban Phoenix Teen The Victim of a Murder-Suicide

In Phoenix, a girl who was reported missing last week has died in what authorities are calling a murder-suicide, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Allegedly, Faith Kies, 16, of Woodstock, Arizona left her home with a man, Alexander O’ Neill, 24, who then shot her before taking his own life. O’Neill was found dead at his parents’ home in Phoenix at the same time Kies was found critically wounded late Friday, according to police.

Kies was pronounced dead on Saturday [January 16, 2016] in a local hospital and Kies’ father said he donated her organs to at least seven people.

Kies’ father, Kenneth “Stormy” Kies said he does not believe his daughter was taken by force or O’Neill would have harmed her. O’Neill was a family friend and much like a family member, according to Kenneth Kies.

According to reports, “After checking earlier Friday evening at the home for O’Neill’s pick-up truck, police returned about two hours later and spotted the vehicle, they said. Detectives were questioning O’Neill’s parents outside the home when they heard two gunshots from inside, police said. O’Neill and Kies were found shot after police entered the home.”

Kies’ parents say the last time they saw her, she had went to bed at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday.  According to her parents, the following morning, Kies was gone and there was a note on her bed that read, “Don’t try to come find me.  I’m safe.” There appeared to be footprints in the snow outside of her window, so her father believes that O’Neill came to her window with a ladder and Kies willing climbed down.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
