Iggy Azalea Responds to Macklemore’s “White Privilege II” Mention

The drama in Hip Hop continues. In the midst of 50 Cent and Meek Mill‘s highly-publicized feud spilling over to Instagram and resulting in countless memes, it seems there’s even more conflict brewing, as Iggy Azalea has taken the liberty of responding to Macklemore essentially throwing her – along with Miley Cyrus and Elvis Presley – under the bus while attempting to spread awareness in his new perspective-offering single, “White Privilege II” from he and his go-to producer and right-hand man, Ryan Lewis‘ second album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, expected to arrive on February 26.

While she doesn’t take the opportunity to suggest Macklemore’s remarks were a situation of the pot calling the kettle black, so to speak, the controversial rapper did reply to an Azalean – as Iggy affectionately refers to her supporters – on Twitter who asked if she had had heard the perceived diss. “He shouldn’t have spent the last three years having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events, etc. if those were his feelings,” rebuked the Australian artist. When another fan told her she “shouldn’t give a f**k,” Iggy assured with a laugh, “Trust me, I don’t.”
