Meek Mill has turned his focus from the weekend’s “beef’ with 50 Cent to donating money and resources to the city of Flint, Michigan as they continue to recover from a recent water crisis. Two days ago, Meek donated money and 60,000 bottles of water to the city, and willed other entertainers to follow suit, a welcome change of pace from the back-and-forths on social media that have dominated headlines in recent days.
The Philadelphia rapper faces sentencing on probation violation charges–which he was found guilty of–next month, but the potential setback hasn’t deterred Meek, as he announced today that he has enrolled in college while speaking to kids at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia. He made the announcement to the sound of resounding applause, and was certainly trying to convince his listeners of the importance of college, even though he’s a successful, touring entertainer.

Hopefully, this not only inspires high school kids to follow suit, but has a positive effect on Meek Mill’s life going forward.
