The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed “Wrecking Ball” singer Miley Cyrus will be starring in Woody Allen’s currently untitled Amazon series, alongside Elaine May.
Allen will serve as director, writer and co-star for the forthcoming project. The series consists of six 30 minute episodes and is slated to stream this year.
Typically, Amazon allows its Prime Instant Video subscribers access to a pilot episode of a potential series and subscribers take a vote on it. But the famed writer, director, actor, comedian (and the list goes on) bypassed the “pilot process” and got a rare straight to series order in January 2015.
