Rihanna Grabs 14th Number One Hit With Drake-Featured “Work”

It’s been a big last few weeks for Rihanna, and though she pulled out of her GRAMMYs performance at the last minute, she’s still got some high profile achievements to note. Her 8th studio album, ANTI, was certified platinum just hours after its release, and it was streamed over 13 million times in less than 24 hours. The album then went on to make its traditional Billboard debut at #1 with sales of over 120,000, and weeks later Rihanna is still comfortably gaining on Billboard, as ANTI will be in the #3 spot when the February 19 charts are officially released tomorrow.

Today Rih’s been given more good news, as her and Drake’s latest hit, “Work,” has shot up to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, netting Rihanna her fourteenth #1 hit. Furthermore, its the second time Rih and Drake top the Hot 100 chart; they did so in 2010 with “What’s My Name,” the lead single from Rihanna’s Loud album. “Work” gives Rihanna her eleventh number one hit as a solo artist, but fourteen when you add in her featured hits on songs like T.I.‘s “Live Your Life” and Eminem‘s “Love The Way You Lie.”

Considering the Director X-directed music video for the song was just released today, there’s a chance Rihanna enjoys more than just one week atop The Billboard 100.
