Rihanna‘s roll-out, albeit messy, did net the Bajan pop star a platinum plaque and a delayed #1 debut atop the Billboard 200 chart with ANTI, her 8th studio album and one of her best LPs yet. Part of said roll-out was the unleashing of “Work,” a searing dancehall-inspired hit featuring Drake, a past love interest and someone with whom Rihanna always strikes chart gold (see: 2010’s “What’s My Name,” 2011’s “Take Care”). Since then, a growing buzz has surrounding the song’s video shoots, which have caused a frenzy at every stop, including a Los Angeles mall and a regionally beloved Caribbean cuisine spot in Toronto.
Today, you can finally stop watching a loop of the sneak peek Rihanna posted to her Instagram over the weekend, and check out the real deal. The video, shot by Drake’s go-to video man Director X–“Started From The Bottom,” “Worst Behaviour,” “Hotline Bling”–brings Drake and Rihanna together in a right ol’ bashment, as the potent duo get done, done, done with everything else and get down to work.
