Kobe Bryant Says He Won’t Watch NBA Games When He Retires Because They Are Too Long

When Kobe Bryant announced his impending retirement earlier this season, many asked what the future Hall of Famer would do with his time. Though he has yet to figure that out, he definitely won’t be watching much basketball. After the Lakers loss to the Phoenix Suns last night, Bryant told reporters that he doesn’t plan on watching any games on TV because they are far too long.

It’s difficult for me to actually watch an entire game from start to end because the game is just too long. It’s too long. I just can’t. It’s true, though. The game is like five hours.

Bryant spent a lot of time sidelined due to injury in the past few years, tweeting his analysis of games while on the couch, so he would know more than us whether or not he has enough of an attention span to sit through a game.
