Janet Jackson Delays Tour to ‘Plan Family’ With Husband

Janet Jackson kicked off her comeback Unbreakable World Tour this past August, but just before entering the second leg this May, Jackson announced this morning that she would be delaying the latter portion of the trek. Why? It sounds like Janet and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are trying to have a baby.

In a video posted to her Twitter account around 6 a.m. this morning, the ridiculously successful singer revealed that she and her husband are “planning” their family, and per doctor’s orders, she needs to “rest up.” Jackson, 49, does not have any kids from her previous marriages to James Debarge (which ended in 1985) or Rene Elizondo Jr. (which ended in 2000). She married Al Mana, a business magnate from Qatar, in 2012.

Hopefully Jackson and Al Mana are successful at achieving their family goals, and Jackson is able to return to the stage once she’s had sufficient time to rest and recover. Watch her announcement below.
