One of the most talked about television shows of recent memory is the critically acclaimed American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. The FX’s show starring Cuba Gooding Jr. as The Juice has revitalized the careers of the aforementioned along with David Schwimmer, John Travolta, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and more. In the series, a statue of Simpson is presented, which was revealed to a be replica and not the original.
The original if you ask, is owned by Flavor Flav. Yes, Public Enemy Flav. Last month, the Hip Hop pioneer shared a photo of himself standing next to the actual O.J. statue, boasting that he is proud owner of the authentic one. Interestingly enough, TMZ revealed that Flav was gifted the piece by radio host Mancow Muller, who purchased it at an auction for $3,250 back in 1999. Flav says he once tried to return the statue to O.J. but was told that he should not because it would be taken from the former football star again.
