Ian Connor, style muse to rap stars like Kanye West, A$AP Rocky and Wiz Khalifa, has been accused of rape by an Emory University student, Malika Anderson, who wrote a lengthy blog post titled “Ian Connor Is a Rapist, and I Know It Firsthand.” The post alleges that Connor and Anderson hung out a couple of times without incident in Atlanta, but on their third rendezvous, things spun out of control.
The 3rd and last time we hung out I hit him up. He came to my crib in the morning and I figured we would just talk and chill per usual… But that isn’t what happened. Anderson goes on to describe in a very detailed manner how Connor begged to perform cunnilingus on her, and how though Anderson gave in, she maintained that she didn’t want to have sex with Connor. The post goes on to say that before Anderson could “even process” what was happening, Connor was having sex with her against her will.
Though the attack allegedly took place in 2014, Anderson hints at the fact that she’s only coming forward now because her case is “basically closed,” though she didn’t elaborate on just what that meant.
Connor rose to prominence last year when much of the rap world began attributing different style evolutions to his initiatives and connections, resulting in his own campaign with streetwear brand Pink Dolphin. He responded to the allegations with the following tweets:
Ain’t No Coincidence I Make My First Big Magazine Cover For A Bitch To Make Up Allegations For Her Own Self Esteem Purposes.
