It comes as no surprise the talented producer is producing for JAY Z because Southside produced the bonus track “Illest Motherf*cker Alive” on Watch The Throne. The interview, which is just under 20 minutes long, touches upon Southside being involved with Kanye West’s new album The Life Of Pablo, which has just debuted as number one on the Billboard 200. He explains he’s known Metro Boomin since he was a kid and it was Boomin who brought Kanye out of his futuristic sound and back into a direction closer to 808s & Heartbreak.

Southside has worked with Future and Waka Flocka, and could also be one of the new signees to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music, as he discusses the mutual respect between them and how Yeezy believes he’s the future of music. With the apple not falling far from the tree, Southside’s father was a producer who worked with OutKast, so the opportunity to  produce a joint track for JAY and Future was definitely on his bucket list.
