Later this month, Drake will unleash his fourth solo LP, Views From The 6, the culmination of an almost three-year roller coaster ride that included a surprise-mixatpe, an alleged fist-fight with Puff Daddy, the blossoming of his OVO Sound record label and, of course, his surprise joint album with Future, What A Time To Be Alive, which dropped this past September and lives on effortlessly in 2016 thanks to “Jumpman,” one of the few true rap mega-hits of the still young new year.
WATTBA, conducted by the most in-demand master of ceremonies, Metro Boomin, was the cherry on top of a monster 2015 for the 22-year-old Atlanta producer, who in the last 20 months has pumped out hits by Future, Drake, Kanye West, Travi$ Scott and ILoveMakonnen. Apparently, his joint venture with Future wasn’t where Drake wanted his work with Metro to stop. In the producer’s cover story with The Fader, he confirmed that he’d put work in on several different Views sessions, including stops in Miami, Los Angeles and Toronto.
At the end of this month, we’ll be able to hear the results of those sessions, which will certainly be fun. You can read Metro’s full Fader cover story here.
