EPMD‘s Parish Smith and Erick Sermon popped up at Brooklyn Bernie Sanders rally today [Sunday, April 17] to show their support of the Democratic Presidential hopeful.
Performing tracks like “You Gots To Chill” and Sermon’s “Just Like Music,” the New York-bred duo clearly invigorated the Prospect Park crowd.
Indie rock group Grizzly Bear also performed a short set while actors like Danny DeVito, Justin Long, Tanya Stephens, and Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard cheered on.
Over 25,000 supporters made it to the rally, a promising sign the underdog could be on his way to the White House, especially considering he recently had big wins in Wyoming, Colorado and Wisconsin.
“This is a campaign that a year ago was considered a fringe candidacy … well, they don’t consider us fringe anymore!” Sanders said.
