One of Hip Hop culture’s most iconic figures, KRS-One’s authority is well respected among his peers. Today, the Teacha paid a visit to N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs Podcast and spoke on a multitude of topics ranging from his early beginnings in Hip Hop, his well-publicized battle with MC Shan, marijuana policy and much more. One of the standout moments in the interview came when N.O.R.E. asked KRS-One about the Drake-Meek Mill battle and his thoughts on the ghostwriter allegations.
Praising both Meek and Drake, KRS-One shared that he does not care whether or not Drizzy had help with writing his rhymes, highlighting that many of the the art form’s greatest artists have had ghostwriters. Citing that he never had anyone write lyrics for him, it is not a practice that he looks down on, rather encouraging it, so long as the lyrics are good.
