NBA future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan is celebrating his 40th birthday today (April 25) and just yesterday his San Antonio Spurs capped off a 4-0 sweep of the Memphis Grizzles in the first round of the NBA playoffs. This will give the 2nd seeded Spurs an extensive vacation before the second round. During the post game interviews, Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge was asked about the team’s time off and had this to say:
“Tim’s 100 years old, so guys like that, they need to rest.”
Though he was simply poking fun at Duncan, who is a five-time NBA Champion, by the looks of things, the big man still has plenty left in the tank evidenced by his dunk over a week ago.
