The Donald is back in the news again, this time trying to gain support from one of the many minorities that he has insulted along the campaign trail.
Yesterday [Thursday, May 5] was Cinco de Mayo, and Donald Trump tweeted a photo that showed him sitting in his office chowing down on a taco bowl. He boasted that Trump Towers made the best taco bowls (certainly not a culturally authentic dish…) and exclaimed “I love Hispanics!” No joke.

Comedian Samantha Bee, host of the show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, responded soon after with a taco bowl picture of her own, criticizing Trump for his picture.
The photo was accompanied with a caption that read:
“The best taco bowls are made by hardworking immigrants who don’t like being called rapists by a rich prick. I love inauthentic Mexican food!”
The holiday Cinco de Mayo is supposed to commemorate the unlikely victory of Mexican soldiers over the French in the battle of Puebla in 1862. The holiday is commonly mistaken as Mexico’s Independence Day, and like other holidays, it has become an occasion for white college students to dress up in stereotypical costumes and drink heavily.
